Members of Team Fairfield Volleyball aspire to:
• train to become best versions of themselves in terms of Volleyball skills set, done through cultivating teamwork, sportsmanship and strong fighting spirit;

History
Fairfield Volleyball has come a long way. From its humble beginnings, through the past decades, the Team began to become one that is to be reckoned with. The years put in by the past players, teachers and the Coach enabled Fairfield Volleyball Team to establish a firm foundation, enabling the Team to become one of the finest in Singapore in the last decade. The Team believes that it is maintaining its high standards in its players in terms of skills, character and sportsmanship, and the Team aspires to become even better. We also recognise that every player in the CCA is a valuable member and can actively contribute to the CCA in many other ways such as being involved in the media and logistical aspect of the CCA, and organising events such as the annual Fairfield Alumni Cup.
Highlights
The National Schools Games (NSG) are held twice a year, usually in January of the year for the B Divisions and in July for the C Divisions. NSG for Sports will be akin to the annual certifications of the Uniformed Groups or the Singapore Youth Arts Presentations. Every year, Fairfield Volleyball Team will compete in the Zonal part of the NSG, followed by the Nationals where 16 schools will emerge from each of the Zones and compete for the Nationals positions.
To prepare for these competitions, we train three times a week during school terms, each session usually around 1.5 – 2.5 hours taking into consideration of curriculum hours. During the school vacations in June and December, to prepare for the NSG competitions, we increase the intensity and duration of the training sessions. The highlights of the Volleyball CCA are the annual Camps which are held in school during June (for C Divisions) and December (for B Divisions). We end off the December Camp with a traditional BBQ , a platform in which the current players can mingle and build strong bonds, while alumni members will also come back to interact with and encourage the current members. We also organise annual internal competition Fairfield Alumni Cup to encourage our Alumni to come back home and reconnect with the School. Our Alumni, many of whom are successful Volleyball players in the tertiary institutions, are a source of encouragement to our current players.
The Team also believes in having close interactions with teams from other schools and thus, we participate in Invitational Games organised by other schools such as the annual Presbyterian High School Invitation Cup and the REX Games, and we often organise friendly matches with these schools so that players from different schools can interact with one another and establish friendships. We also have the future development of our players in mind when we had in the past, sent in our best players to represent Singapore for annual ASEAN Schools’ Games. We work closely with the Volleyball Association of Singapore as well to support the development of Singapore Volleyball.
